He has plans to release *something* on 9/9. Whether that is the full patch to the game or most of it remains to be seen. All that is known is that he wants to finish it and release the patch by 9/9, but if he doesn't finish it by 9/9, he'll release most of what he has done and he will finish the game by the end of the year (if he hasn't already by that point).

No. Jast might take a long time to release stuff, but it costs money for them to license titles. They wouldn't license a title JUST to keep fan translators from working on it. Regarding your side question, that is unknown at this point. There are threads on /jp/ where people are extracting and comparing the scripts, etc. You'll just have to wait and see what comes out of it.

You can ignore the first guy that responded to you. From your selection, I would probably suggest what gerard picked.. but everyone will have different tastes, so I will say pick the two that appeal to you. Osadai is pretty much all comedy with a ridiculous plot.. it's pretty much a parody VN, but it's nice from the half that I have read. And Kana Imouto was probably my first "serious" VN, so I have a soft spot for that one. Also note that Kana Imouto probably isn't a good choice if you don't like depressing VNs. Pretty much tells you straight up that it's an utsuge.
