Shadolance 10
This week gives me mixed feelings. Any word from the Majikoi group on fuwanovel's site? I know a while back they started a new thread because the old one got cluttered. If anyone has a link to the new thread also I think I lost it...

Some guy 16
Another slow week huh? At least there is steady progress on alot of fronts. I suspect it will be pretty quiet until spring/summer, when most projects will have more time (basing that on the idea most are still in some form of higher education). There are exceptions like that Last Resort guy, but it's generally pretty hard to focus on "extra" stuff during university/college. DragonBall89 11
Hyro, you should remove Dysfunctional Systems from the list - that kickstarter failed miserably. that it did and after few or dozen canceled translations now a game which looked kind of interesting was canceled altogether. don't know how much support will they get after this from the kickstarter community but i wouldn't get my hopes up in their stead, wish the best for them and no more unfinished games. Some guy 16
Noticed a troubling (though not at all surprising) change at VNDB for Mahoutsukai no Yoru (https://vndb.org/v777) - namely, the removal of Commie's TBA english version.
alksjdf 14
Not a surprise. Most people gave up on it ages ago.
Decay 25
Noticed a troubling (though not at all surprising) change at VNDB for Mahoutsukai no Yoru (https://vndb.org/v777) - namely, the removal of Commie's TBA english version. Whether or not a project is on VNDB doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things (and I say this as one of their database moderators). We try to have everything, but the livelihood of a translation project is pretty subjective and isn't always easy to determine. At the end of the day, inactive projects are removed on a gut feeling, nothing more. Basically what I'm saying is that you shouldn't give up hope just because something is removed from VNDB. Herkz talks like they're definitely going to get a new editor for the Mahoyo project and it will be finished.

Time will tell I soppose, not like it hurts to stay openminded (a truth for life in general). A personal gripe I have with the whole business is how critical certain people are/were of TLs like FSN in years past, yet cannot back up their critiques with works of their own. He's always been fairly vocal about how "bad" Mirror Moons' TL was - I couldn't honestly say if it's justified or not, barely knowing english let alone japanese myself - but without showing how it can be "better", just makes it seems like alot of hot air. Eitherway, not like fan TL groups get paid for their efforts - at least not until Sekai absorbs everyone with talent into itself (which I'm starting to think is the cause of "missing" team members throughout the VN scene). Which is not nessacarily a bad thing, as SP seems to be getting shit done that not even JAST or MG have been able to do so far.
Crazyboy 12
Majikoi Translation Project - Page 31 - Ongoing Projects - Fuwanovel Now they lost the translation... I really want to believe that project is true, but their problems seem way to convenient to me. When they were near finishing all translation and editing, the guy who was supposed to do the patch was too busy with the holiday, once holiday was done they weren't able to contact that guy anymore, so they "hired" a bunch of peoples to make the patch in his place, but for some reason all of them needed weeks to do something lot of peoples are able to do in a few hours and now he lose all the translation. So many peoples want to see a complete patch so much, that they prefer to think it's cursed rather than thinking it is all elaborated bullshit.
