Kuudere A character, often cold and harsh on the outside; but swirling with feelings inside. The character is kind of impartial or a little hard to deal with, but isn't exactly rude or harsh like a tsundere. From "kuu-" (cool). By definition, kuuderes are usually mostly expressionless. Obviously some can break the norm, but then are they really Kuudere or just partly Kuudere?

The idea is that people can skip gameplay or make it easier so they don't have to focus on it - they just want to focus on the story. If for example, there's a fight you can't get past, and thus can't proceed with the story, you can use cheats to get past that part. I think there isn't a large enough market for English VNs. If they can't get a good deal, they won't make much profit. Hence, they go for the cheap ones. Japanese companies are wary of selling to the western market (Remember/look up the Rapelay incident), and so don't want to invest heavily in translation. So, they send out their suckier titles to be translated instead, which, being low-scoring, get a bad reception in the western world and then the japanese companies don't see the potential market. That, and the majority of people who've managed to find out about eroges also know how to pirate. While pirating the game isn't reducing their profits (as many anti-pirates claim), there is the lack of profit they would have made had you bought the game. There just isn't enough demand for it to be worth their while. Think about it. There are 4,000 registered members on this forum alone. If each of them pirated 10 games, at the MG average price of $40, that's a potential $1.6 million that could have gone to MangaGamer. Then expand this to the whole of the world (the several hundred-thousand people who download from erogedownload, hongfire, etc), and the wide range of eroges out there (hundreds), and the high prices of some importable eroges, and we're talking tens/hundreds of millions of dollars. Now, I'm not saying we should pay for eroges - I don't believe many of them are worth the money - but that is what would have to happen for there to be more English translated VNs.

Some VNs focus on story, some on gameplay. For those of you who just want to experience the story without worrying about losing battles and having to start over, there are cheats. I've included Shezar's HP value because that's the battle I used to find the values. I do not know if this works for any of his other appearances, or for any other bosses. It should work for the final fight (Berio's route). Note: I'm not quite sure how the HP works. It sometimes seems to be specific to the character and the area, but sometimes it uses the same value across characters. For best use, change the values labeled "HP -P1" for the character you are controlling, and "HP - Allies" for your allies. For the allies, both should be set to this value. If not, change the value next to their name instead. Note2: I've included multiple pointers to each address, just in case some don't work. You should only need to change one of each set (eg, only change one "HP - P1") Note3: This will only work with the cracked version downloaded from erogedownload/erogegames. (if you downloaded from somewhere else, as long as the crack is the same it should still work)
