Yes 1-8 is all of the Translated games so far. Higurashi Rei has a patch for Saikoroshi-hen but thats all of the complete translated games so far. Their is no voice patch for Higurashi so far only Umineko (people dont want to waste the time for all of the lines). Yes, Higanbana actually is really dark as well but its a series of short stories and not going to lie 1 or 2 of the stories are very very badly done in my opinion. But all of the dark ones are good its the happy ones I dont like the most lol.

That definitely took way too long to finish Higurashi and now I understand how Deen messed up the anime. The novel was much more informative than the anime and Ryukishi did a very nice job as I am not suprised. Time to read Kai.
