Edelweiss v1 and Higurashi v1 are totally different scenarios. Edelweiss V1 looked like plain machine translated garbage, whereas the higurashi 1-4 translation has a good amount of typos, but it's not even close to Edelweiss. Mangagamer pretty much had to retranslate Edelweiss if they wanted to be taken serious as a company.

It's going to get released on steam, so they're going through it and making sure it's all good for the release.

You should update the changelog and put that big status on the front so some people that come here from the VNTL thread can just click on it without having to read the entire thread.

Couple of months once koestl starts rolling again. Took him about a year to finish Kajitsu, and Kajitsu is more than 2x Meikyuu.

Being a Key VN, it's going to get hype. I wouldn't really ask about it as it might lead to some type of spoiler, but when the VN is written by the same person that did Clannad and most of LB (even though it was made before it), it's going to be popular. EDIT: not to mention that the TL project has failed a few times and this is the only Key VN that hasn't been fully translated (not counting EX and stuff like that), so some people are excited for it.

Pretty much this. There's no reason to worry. If you want to see the h-scenes, then bring up the 18+ untranslated version. In the translated version, all references will be kept and they felt it would be better this way. It would be nothing like moenovel and rusanon, who doesn't want to do shit anyways since he hates ED for dumb reasons.

You can just watch it, but the movies have improved animations and awesome transformation scenes. I would watch it as a recap when the third movie comes out.
