  1. Essentially they're programs that take the raw Japanese text that you see in visual novels and translate them to English. Usually not recommended, but some people don't mind using it. A lot of times it's just a bunch of gibberish that gets spewed out, especially with the more complex VN's. Even with some of the simple VN's, it can look like ass. Download and see how Flyable Heart looks like if you want an example, and that was actually edited a bit.

It's going to release a few hours from this post Source: https://twitter.com/Sheeta_Su/status/457126881750712320
  4. Yeah, translation is not so good with this one.. which is especially bad because one of the main selling points of the VN is the delivery of the language.
  5. It took them like 5 years to complete the translation of this. Let them have a couple more months until questions start popping up whether they will actually finish it.
  6. More polished translation, fewer bugs.. pretty safe bet just to go with the official version.

  8. What exactly are you expecting? The partial patch with all routes excluding the true route was just released 2 or 3 weeks ago. He's starting up on the true route again, but it's the longest route and won't be done for a few more months most likely. Jumped about 800 lines earlier today.
  9. They estimated 4 months if they had a dedicated editor who could work on it everyday. The translator still has to finish his TLC passes.. so.. i'm guessing it's PROBABLY going to be another few months.
  10. I finished ghost trick yesterday and it was great! I guess not TECHNICALLY a visual novel, but it needs some love since not a lot of people know about it. It's a DS game with puzzles and dialogue (think 999). Definitely something you need to check out if you're a fan of puzzles and/or mystery. Just avoid looking stuff up about it since it's easy to spoil yourself. The first two paragraphs on the wiki is fine. Just need an emulator and a rom and you're set.
  11. Should add this one as well, Ryu Project Zoom909: Nanami's route 3714 / 4771
  12. Only one is Ushio. Nagisa is the only one with the after story and a child. You could always play Tomoyo After if you want to see another after story.
  13. Koestl will stall or at least keep a very low priority on Grisaia no Meikyuu for now since it looks like he got hired to do an official translation
  14. There are orbs you need to get in the after story as well, but those are mostly quick to get and you don't have to deviate too much most of the time.
  15. You could always just do those routes and get a save file that doesn't have the after story finished. Not something I'd really recommend, but it's an option for you.
  16. I have no clue what you're asking. All the non-ero patch does is skip the h-scenes.
  17. San <3 Finished the movie, it was great. Heavy symbolism and just a good story overall.

  18. What? Don't you remember that I live alone now. The problem is just me working.
  19. Nice. One of the few projects picked up by nobodies in the last year or two that actually has hope.
  20. Finished Umineko 1-4, only took me about 4 months because of my insane work weeks right now. Not 100% perfect in my eyes, but a really great VN with awesome music (apparently 5-8 even has better music), cool characters, and a plot that makes you think. Eps 3 and 4 were my favorites, liked them a good amount better than the first two, but it's understandable.. the first one sets up all the characters and you can't really expect too much from the beginning. I will start ep 5-8 sometime probably during the summer, when i'm working half as much. 1-4 gets around a 9/10 from me though, great rea
  21. The guy who leads the project actually is doing QC for AIR, so might be safe to say that they're waiting on it.
  22. http://puu.sh/7nWU9 you never told me what you were up to (and I forgot to ask)
  23. what the heck OMA, you never told me how you were
