MGQ1 has 3 parts as free download so i'm guessing that's your problem. When Harle said part 1, 2 and 3 he meant Monster Girl Quest 1, Monster Girl Quest 2 and Monster Girl Quest 3. For ease's sake, once you downloaded the 3 games take arc.nsa from MGQ1 and arc1.nsa from MGQ2 and paste them on MGQ3 folder, overwrite when asked to; after that open MGQ3, go to extra and select combine.

Just makin' sure you're following the procedure correctly. First you open the disc (like in screenshot 5) and run the first option (most likely), keep pressing enter or something untill you see the installation progress. THEN copy everything inside the update folder and paste it on wherever the game installed (most likely C:/Program files/ something...). Run the update.exe? (it will most likely work that way). And after that copy everything inside no_dvd and paste it on the game folder again, overwrite when/if prompted. Run the game once with the dvd igame mounted, once it runs properly y

Is Sono Hanabira the game you're having issues to extract?, because that would explain the crashing (the game opens, gives a intro, searches for content and it doesn't finds anything so it crashes). Usually i just select all .rar/.zip archives and "extract here" (or "extract to /*"), it has yet to give me any problem.

And yeah awesome game, and after you read it i recommend the anime cause it gets really enjoyable once you know the entire story (the OVAs are pretty fun too).

My exact same thoughts, except with G-Senjou wich from my point of view sucked very bad. I'd like to recommed you a few mainstream vns wich are even more awesome than all you've listed so far: Muv-Luv Trilogy (for the love of god don't skip extra, survive it as a man), Ever17, Fate-Stay Night and of course Sengoku Rance. Some other good discoveries i've made through all my years of experience in this field (like... 1) are Planetarian, Bible Black, Grisaia no Kajutsu (maybe), Saya no Uta (gore, but awesome nonethless) and if you're into furry-tailed girls and that stuff you gotta read Monster

First make sure you're using the right codec, this one is the one i use in case your's give any problem. And no, it shouldn't mess up your system in any was as long as you make a backup of your original file.

Wait i'm confused, do you want a vn with or without action? For exciting full packed action vn's (?) i'd recommend Fate/Stay, Muv Luv (the entire trilogy, survive the first two), Bible Black and... have you tried Sengoku Rance? For slow paced nice ones i'd say Little My Maid, Planetarian and Ever17. Like JigenZ i'd say G-Senjou no Maou as well but.. that one's bored as hell (yes i said that)

Ah yeah nvm, thought you managed to get pass that. As Sind said when you get prompted to insert the cd it will give you the option to provide the files location as well, just browse wherever you downloaded the file and that's it.
