My best friend comes up to me and sais "The Japanese have porn games" and I said "What like strip poker or Leisure suit Larry?". So he had me play one of the he had downloaded because he wanted me to help him unlock all the cgs before his gorlfriend was going to format his computer later that day due to his porn addiction. At first I hated it because of the fact he was forcing me to beat the game several times in a row in a number of hours for which he thanked me by having me go home. Then I discovered Duel Saviour Justice and got hooked before I even realised it was an eroge and ever since I have been looking for eroges of all kinds but primarily those with fun mini games or play styles. EmiyaShirou 10 Posted May 13, 2012 Share Posted May 13, 2012 well my path to the road of visual novel started with fate/stay night(big fan of it) waited for the second season to come out which took ages...then i slowly get impatient and look for the story and then i found that it is based on a visual novel. First i was reluctant to play it since i was still hoping that the anime would come out soon then i gave up and play the visual novel instead and thats how i get hooked up on visual novel. I watched the anime, searched for pictures and came across the VN download link. Back then I didn't know eroge, so I was like "wow, reading n' playing at the same time? In a fit of boredom and admittedly more than a little morbid curiosity I stumbled across "I'm gonna serve you! 4" on an IRC file server bot and was surprised and how much I enjoyed it. I tried finding other games but not much luck at the time. Fast forward to 2 years ago when I found Eroge Download and I just picked Crescendo out of the list at random fell absolutely in love with it and after that it was like being an alcoholic at a kegger I just downloaded everything in sight and burned off the ones that I liked the most Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Then there was a really long dry spell of only finding untranslated games. then a few years later got into watching Anime as a once in a great while hobby. Then after Ex-gf broke my heart into little tiny peices... or fed it into a wood chipper.... started watching anime alot, ran across Shuffle! anime, loved it. Foudn out it was a VN found it, and found out... not translated... started looking into other "Visual Novels" found a few others.. ended up finding May I serve you 4. (btw still think its a pretty good VN not epicicly great but still good) from torrents (I still have it set to seed once in awhile... tho with the feds on the hunt not so much anymore. ) Quote Link to post Share on other sites

I decided t give it a try, and downloaded my first eroge, Slave Pageant (yeah, it wasn't that great but it hooked me on the genre). After looking up what Visual Novels were i was instantly intrigued by what i found out and started searching for the visual novel and other visual novels pretty soon after. I obviously ended up in a clannad forum and people told me about the original work, the visual novel. I played a lot of key games and then moved on to other shit. During that time I also found the visual novel tayutama and bamm, instant love. Tried to play it with agth but dropped it after the half, those sentences were just unbearable. I was looking for some CD's when I stumbled upon a curious disc. I went back to the dorm, put it in my drive, and lo and behold, it was an installer for a nukige! X-Change 3 to be exact. It was translated already back then, and the way sex was presented piqued my interest. Sadly, my interest in VNs did not last when my laptop's motherboard got fried since I was running it RIGHT OVER THE MUTHAF*CKING BED CUSHIONS (Jibun no Baka!). Fast-forward to two months ago. I have a new laptop, in university studying IT and it's summer vacation. Finished playing Mass Effect 3 and Diablo 3 is no good due to slow internet connection. I was browsing the net, lurking in Memebase and saw a meme about Katawa Shoujo. Of course, I have no crip fetish or anything but I was interested in finding out more. This ended up with me reading VN reviews in Yandere Translations. I decided to download my "first" VN and it was Kazoku Keikaku. Family. That concept actually hits me where it hurts. To make a long story short, it was a baptismal I never expected. It was no longer about sex for me. I wanted to read more. So far I've read only this much. Alternating between Utsuges and Nukiges. Downloading Little My Maid and Let's Meow Meow for some nukige action. Can't get over Dengeki's Sky Saga... Kanon -> Clannad -> Kanon & Clannad visual novels -> World of Awesomeness Kanon was like the first anime I ever watched, other than Pokemon when I was little. It was really good so I looked up information about it and found Clannad, which I watched next. Clannad was even better; so much better that I wanted more of it, so I downloaded the VNs for Kanon and Clannad and entered a world of awesomeness. Oh, and the way I got to Kanon was clicking on a link on an illegal download forum a website out of curiosity at the name "Kanon" Quote Link to post Share on other sites
