What do you prefer playing? Love or Dark themed visual novels?

Well I guess it doesn't really matter to me but most of my VN/Eroge are about Love.

I'm on love.... obviously... I hate rape and tentacles... which I considered Dark eroge games for me... unless there is comedy.... but being with love is better and enjoyable...

I still kind of wish the original post were clearer, because I'm really curious what they meant. Love is fairly straight-forward(School dramas, heart-warming stories, etc), but dark themes isn't. Is he talking about games which focus on rape and such? Is he talking about all games that have a darkish setting(Fantasy, science fiction, etc)?

As a huge fan of Dementia, I'd have to go with dark themed. But I play love themed games just as much.

Nah, Lilith are quite good both storywise and art/animation wise, if they can be a bit dark sometimes but that's just how they roll. You always know what you're getting with a Lilith game.

i like stories with more dark themed story than happy "hi myl ife is perfect, i like you lets make it togheter" plot line, its usually a bit deeper story line in these, for some exceptions.
