Older MangaGamer VNs used "lcsebody.exe" and there's several different variants of the cracked "lcsebody.exe" ... I switch regularly between each of them because on some cracks the text is displayed with artifacts or word wrap doesn't work the right way. I have to do it for all of their VNs. From what I remember, cracked "lcsebody.exe"' files can be found on 4chan, that's where I got them from.

I see you are on Windows 7, that's the best option OS for playing VNs because most of VNs work on it. Did you scroll down on the error, to see if there is any specific error number which we can look up? Also, did you change locale to japanese? Though in this case it definitively looks like something else is the problem. Does the game have a crack? Or is it DRM-free? Where did you download it from?

That error message is pointing out at ANSI Unicode problems which is always related to locale problems.
