Just finished One ~Kagayaku Kisetsu e~, one of the pre-Key VNs. It was decent for the most part. The majority of the routes have rushed endings and forced drama. The supernatural aspect of the VN was pretty unique. Key definitely improved their writing with future VNs and you can tell that One was used as an influence to both Kanon and Clannad. This was more sort of a "test" VN for their future works. You can pretty much count that one out. The translation group is not trustworthy at all. Yeah, this one will start translation after Sheeta is done editing Brighter Than Dawning Blue.

Download an extraction program, like Winrar. After downloading winrar, right click on the first .rar file and click extract here or extract to whatever destination you desire. After extracting the files, you will likely get a .iso file containing the disc image. Some eroges will have multiple iso files. After getting the .iso file, you will need a program like Daemon Tools. Here is the FAQ section. Before installing an eroge, make sure your locale is in Japanese. The FAQ will explain how. Yeah, I'll post it in that other thread for completed VNs. Nothing too special about the protag. You can see hints of Tomoya and I wouldn't be surprised if they built up this protag and he influenced future key protags, like Yuuichi and Tomoya.
