  1. Cheating to me just seems like an insult on a game I enjoy so much. Though using a speedhack is extremely tempting, I've been avoiding it, much like the deadbeat dungeon. Just as time goes along, if things keep going slow, my resistance slowly breaks down, and I may end up at least trying the speed thing. This I shall try, hopefully that speeds some things up. Though I'll probably miss the harpies and mares. *cough*
  2. This one? Figured I'd lend a hand for those who might watch this thread for all the youtube anime music.
  3. Hmm, I'd say xxxholic is pretty high up there for both my favorite manga and anime. Other than that I'd add in Fullmetal Alchemist, Fairy Tail, Sankrea, Rosario+Vampire, and one I believe is a manhwa called Aflame Inferno.
  4. I guess I mention Kana, because it's one of the few only real sisters in the bunch, many of those mentioned here are fakes, so I guess I don't really think of them as sisters. I never actually finished kana, and I don't really have a desire to, but it seemed to fit what the opening poster wanted.
  5. I think everyone is playing because it's so addictive. Once you start you can't stop. I've been playing non-stop for 3 days or so now... my sleep is really suffering. But I'm still loving the game.
  6. I was wondering if anyone has finished the game yet? Curious as to how many chapters there are. I'm still chugging along, but it's slow going trying to scrape together enough materials for items that actually help. edit: Some quick research later shows it to be about 9 or 10 chapters long. And with plenty of new game+ content, and replayability. I wonder if I'll make it to the end? XD
  7. Tsukihime was a bit different. Though the game I remember the most when it comes to this topic is Kana(probably not the full name), but it's not really something I seek out, so I'm far from an expert.
  8. Ugh, that dumb bridge quest. I even reloaded before I advanced into the next chaptor and took my time gathering wood in the forest 1-8 pieces at a time, had 60 some wood, and it still wasn't enough by the time the quest came around. -.- Eventually I just let it fail, wasn't a good place to gather base wood anywhere really, and you need so much of it, it's rather annoying.
  9. Oi, I'm such a baka sometimes. Now that I've started progressing instead of only fighting, money is much easier to come by, and things are going much smoother. I noticed that unlike the other games that have time limits, this doesn't seem to have a date anywhere, or even a listing of turns outside of battle. So other than a possible hidden stat at the end, I'm not going to worry about how many months I lounge about selling things.
  10. The name of that last one made me think of another of my favorites: Both the song and the anime had a nice feel to it.
  11. Yeah I've noticed those buttons before, but in my experience with similar games, like the Atelier series, certain things happen or do not happen based on the date in game. So I worry just a smidge about hitting something like that and either missing out or getting into something unprepared.
  12. I'm so hooked on this game, it's kinda scary. I'm still only in chapter 2, so I'm a bit behind others here. I've avoided the deadbeat dungeon thing, as well as using any sort of speedhacks. So far the biggest annoyance is the fact that my best clerks(the only ones who sell anything), are Serawi and Emelita, and most of the story points require them along with Yuela. I've got my elementals in the form of Sunia and Aht working the shop, but they barely if ever sell anything, even though I'm nearly full of shop stock. I suppose I will have to eventually just grind on repeat dungeon visits whi
  13. No thank you sir. There's a reason I have icons all over the place like that. I prefer using the desktop as a sort of general use area. All my downloads go directly there, and if you can see in some of the folders I put most things I install there until I feel they are worth moving over into a more permanent spot. I've seen several applications and the like for trying to 'clean' and 'organize' my desktop, but I choose where everything is, and I prefer to do it manually with plenty of mess.
  14. 7AM. Just finished Tsukihime after playing all night through. I'm exhausted but I regret nothing! Type Moon delivers. Even if the art of this game was a little weak, the simplicity of the music track worked perfectly for pulling out emotion, and the story and writing was just superb. Not going to write out a full review here, as spoilers tend to abound when I really let go and talk about a game I just finished(that and I'm really quite tired, might write it up tomorrow, or I might just let it pass and go dive into the next game). Tsukihime gets an easy 8/10 overall, most of what it la
  15. Been playing this quite a bit today, but getting a little annoyed at something and I'm wondering if anyone else experiencing this. When the characters speak out loud, the text displays brackets instead of quotes, no matter what font I have it set on. I can deal with it if that's just part of the game, but proper quotes would make it easier.
  16. I was thinking the other day that Baccano might make an awesome Eroge. Even with only the few females in the anime, I'm sure the style and creativity could make for an explosive story.
  17. o.O The heck did I just watch. I... that... *breaks* Though I suppose while we are at it, ending themes are good as well right? That last video(still don't know why all those characters I know are acting like that), made me think of this one: ^.^
  18. There were only 10 options, so I went with the 10 most likely colors. I was tempted to mix white and grey to add in orange, but I felt that grey and white are different enough to need seperate spots. Brown, Yellow, Orange and blond all seem to mix together, maybe even red too. So I was wary of trying to team two together to get orange in like I was thinking about for white and grey. In any case, kinda surprising that white is in the lead after a few days in. I expected more bright, vibrant, traditional anime colors. And no love at all for purple. It's odd how some things turn out.
  19. I do my best to complete everything if I manage to enjoy a game enough to complete any route. I have been known to drop certain games, or at least push them to the side instead of completing them just to say I have. If I don't feel like I'm enjoying the story then I tend not to continue it. However with good eroges and VN's I want to see how the other routes end up, how does this and that effect things, how are the routes different. etc.

    Stepmania

My thoughts exactly. Interesting, but not something I've played.
  21. Sadly, my wallpaper is less than impressive. Though my mess of icons on the desktop surely says something about me: My wallpaper is on an hourly shift, moving through several images. Mostly greenish landscapes and plant textures like this fern at the moment. I tend to look for plants and heavy greens during winter, makes me more relaxed and refreshed when I look out a window at drab grey and snow.

    Wanko to Kurasou

I quite enjoyed this game. The whole 'ownership' thing can be a bit odd for typical vanilla folk, however I think it is well done, and works. It has a nice depth of story and decently developed characters. My only issue was that it seemed a bit short.
  23. Gonna take me all day to download, but so looking forward to playing this.
  24. Right then... brb *goes to find and watch this origin movie that he can't believe he hasn't seen yet*
  25. I totally agree with the Paranoia Agent and Xam'd openings. I think that opening alone kept me watching Xam'd, the anime didn't thrill me as much as it could have, but that opening was awesome. Here's another of my favorites: Swing music with mafia and a highlander twist ftw.
