The new method (for me) I'm starting to use to get anime is from torrents from nyaa

 

Before that I used streaming sites.. If you want the links I'll provide them here:

AnimeFTW.TV (this one sometimes has HD ones, needs Divx plugin though, 30 second wait betweent each episode you watch, worth it)

Usually I bought them, but I started torrenting anime two months ago. Life sucks, and I don't have much money, so it's torrent for now.

Generally I download and if it's worth watching I try to buy it when it comes out in the West.

I mostly torrented my from bakabt (for batched on) and offen times for the fansubing group site (for individual release)

gogoanime is a good streaming site

 

for downloading/torrent animeout has all the newest anime and uploads older anime all the time, but they got hit by a DDOS so they are reuploading shows they lost

nyaa is a torrent site dedicated to anything anime/manga/VN/that sort of jist rather than just all in a mix like piratebay

I used to stream anime, but now I use Bakabt and Nyaa mostly. I was thinking about getting a sub for crunchyroll, but there are better subs out there for almost all shows they have up (that i'm interested in)

the majority of the stuff I watch isn't licensed or had its license expire (Gundam, any of your moe harem stuff, etc). there's also the thing where a lot of licensed anime isn't really that great, or is incredibly overrated.

i dont download anime or torrent at all. If i want to watch anime i youku it. I dont watch any obscure anime so i can find it online without downloading quite easily.

Nyaa and bakabt, well sad truth about torrents is they died down fast .. well there's exceptions though, for popular animes.

I watch most of my anime over on otakucenter.com, always streaming these days. And if they don't have it, a quick google search usually gives a couple other options like animefreak or animeseason. I tend to watch new stuff that isn't licensed yet, and even if I wanted to, torrenting doesn't like my horrendous DSL upload speeds, and will cripple my computer if I try it.
